Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) fittings were
introduced by Parker in North America in the early 1990s to address market
requirements for OEM and replacement JIS fittings. The JIS fittings are
designed with 30° male flare and 30° female seats and each incorporate
BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads. These fittings are typically utilized
as hose adapters on equipment designed and/or manufactured in Japan and
Korea.
